AODA Seminar

Dear CBIA Members, Re: FREE Seminar on The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”) By January 1, 2012, The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”) will become law in Ontario.

All CBIA businesses are required by law to comply with this Act. If your company/organization/business provides goods or services and has a minimum of one employee in Ontario, then it must comply with AODA's Customer Service Standard, by January 1, 2012. The Customer Service Standard requires all companies/organizations/businesses to develop and implement accessible customer service policies, practices and procedures that apply to persons with disabilities.

To learn more about this Act, please join CBIA on December 12, 2011 at 6pm at Lung Kong Conference Room, 287 Spadina Avenue, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON M5T 2E6 for a seminar about this topic. Ms Charlotte Goldfried, an employment lawyer from Goldfried Law will speak for 45 minutes on this topic, with a question and answer period thereafter.

Charlotte will address two areas:

  • (1) What is AODA?
  • (2) Why AODA Makes Good Business Sense!
Registration begins at 5:30pm and the seminar will start at 6pm sharp. There is no charge for this important seminar & spaces are limited. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP by December 5, 2011 by phone 416-260-9800, or email administrator@chinatownbia.com on your attendance. First-come, first served. Look forward to seeing you on December 12th.
